Cory York Co-Founder & CEO
Cory York brings with him a strong background and over 7 years of progressive experience in both the IT and e-retail industries. Cory, led the expansion efforts of Novator Systems Canada into India and was the Managing Director of Novator India, a subsidiary of the multimillion-dollar e-commerce and software developer.
Cory has very strong Indian retail industry contacts and is a member of the e-commerce committee for the Internet & Mobile Association of India. For the last 6 years Cory has worked with some of India’s largest retail companies. He recently headed up the entire creation and deployment of www.shoppersstop.com, India’s largest department store retailer. The site received a top nomination for the IT implementation of the year award from PC Quest magazine.
Cory will leverage his retail and IT industry contacts while employing his eRetail expertise to build and lead Socialinked.
Firoz Khan Co-Founder & COO
Firoz Khan is one of the most important players in the Indian e-commerce world. After completing his MBA from Mumbai University, Firoz has accumulated 13 years of experience in India’s Internet & Online Industry. Firoz has built a reputation and a track record of setting up “New to the Industry” processes through his roles in the early stage start-up to success of Rediff.com & Future Groups’ digital retail.
Firoz successfully launched India’s first ‘Cash-On- Delivery’ option for online shopping with Rediff.com back in 1999. Firoz built Future Group’s digital retail from scratch and successfully designed, developed and implemented “First Online Retail Supply Chain” & “Phone Commerce Channel” spreading across various Formats like Big Bazaar, Pantaloon, E- zone, Home Town, Planet Sports & Indus League.
Firoz served as Vice President Operations – Online Retail, Digital Commerce, E-commerce, M- commerce at Future Group. He is responsible for all aspects of fulfillment for online retail businesses of Future Group, Future Bazaar, Big Bazaar (www.bigbazaar.com), Ezone (www.ezoneonline.in) & Pantaloons (www.pantaloon.com).
